The Bare Naked Ladies once said among other things, "If I had a million dollars I'd buy your love." I don't wish to get into buying someones love but I have been thinking of what I would do with a $1,000,000. I've thought about it and what I could afford with it and what I would do with it. When I think of the business world I'm in and the one my customers are in, it never seems to be about having a certain piece of technology or employee or building...it's not the tangibles they need...it's the intangibles. Time and time again people say they wish they had more time.
How much time could $1,000,000 buy? A 1,000,000 days = 2,740 years. That seems like a lot of time for the money. 1,000,000 hours = 114 years, that doesn't seem useful since the current world average lifespan is 67 years according to Wikipedia. 1,000,000 minutes = 694 days and I'll bet you could get a lot done with almost two years. But there's something about 1,000,000 seconds, that's 11.5 days. I'm not sure if I would pay $1,000,000 for them. But I could acknowledge that my customers are also facing the "not enough time" issue I'm dealing with. So what if I found a few extra seconds and minutes each day and shared them with my customers? If I did, I could share some ideas to help you with your business.
I know it's been too long since we've posted to our blog. I plan on finding the extra seconds each day and bank them up so I can share a few thoughts with you each week and maybe we can help each other grow our knowledge and ideas that could lead to more business creativity and some pretty amazing opportunities. I'm up for it and plan on helping you find some time too.
I've recently been reading, David Allen's book, Getting Things Done and I think it will help me and maybe even you...get something done. Read it and let me know what you thought.
Keep the learning going, pass it on.

Peter,
$1,000,000
or seconds?
I like the mindset behind it.
and I'm kind of surprised people did not comment on this important subject.
Anyhow,
Great topic.
Well time=money
it is a function of importance.
If you like it
If you have extra time
if you are busy.
I am extremely busy or look to be always busy.
I found not very usefull spend time on-line searching for nothing and everything.
If I need something I look for it specifically...If I need to buy something I look before going to the mall and compare for better models, price, conditions, etc
Again great topic and the way I see it time is all you have.
if someone where to live how much is worth one more day of life?
Best,
Miguel
